AIBSNLPWA Delegation Meets JS, DoP&PW on Pension-Related Issues

Today, Com. V. Vara Prasad, General Secretary, along with Com. Anupam Kaul, Deputy General Secretary, and Com. R. S. N. Murty, Vice President, met Shri Dhrubjyothi Sengupta, Joint Secretary, Department of Pension & Pensioners’ Welfare (DoP&PW), in New Delhi.

Ø During the meeting, we discussed several  issues, including: Inclusion of BSNL pension revision in the Terms of Reference of the 8th CPC.

ØPending status of BSNL pension revision.

Ø .Representation of AIBSNLPWA in SCOVA.

Ø Formulation of new proposals for submission to the 8th CPC.

Ø Pending settlement of pension for V. K. Bhaskar, Ex-DE, for his service rendered in DoT.

Shri Sengupta was joined by Shri Ravikiran Ubale, Director, and Smt. Ramanjit Kaur, Government Consultant.

Ø During our interaction, he mentioned that he would try to suggest simplification of pension rules to avoid unnecessary litigations in pension-related matters.

The meeting was very positive, and we extended our sincere thanks for his time and attention to our concerns.

டெலிகாம் மெக்கானிக் ஊழியர்கள் பணிவு நிறைவு செய்யும் போது அவர்கள் வாங்கிய சம்பளத்தை குறைத்து பென்ஷன் கணக்கீடு செய்தது தவறு என்று திரு.ராகேஷ் குப்தா, DDG, அக்கவுண்ட்ஸ் அவர்களை டெல்லி சஞ்சார் பவனில் சந்தித்து விவாதித்து உள்ளனர் பொதுச் செயலர் தோழர் V.வரப்பிரசாத் அவர்களும் அகில இந்திய துணைத் தலைவர் தோழர் R.S.N.மூர்த்தி அவர்களும். அந்த பிரச்சனையை மறுபரிசீலனை  செய்வதாக அவர் நமது தலைவர்களிடம் உறுதியளித்துள்ளார்

இன்று நமது ஓய்வூதியர்கள் சங்கத்தின் பொதுச் செயலாளர் தோழர்  வரப்பிரசாத் அவர்களும் துணைத் தலைவர் R.S.N. மூர்த்தி அவர்களும் மத்திய கூட்டுறவு சங்கங்களின் பதிவாளர் மற்றும் மத்திய அரசின் கூட்டுறவு துறையின் கூடுதல் செயலர் திரு. ரபீந்திர குமார் அகர்வால் அவர்களை டெல்லியில் சந்தித்து நமது சொசைட்டி பிரச்சினை குறித்து ஆழமான விவாதத்தை நடத்தி உள்ளார்கள். ஏற்கனவே நமது அகில இந்திய சங்கம் இது குறித்து எழுதியுள்ள கடிதங்களின் நகல்களை வழங்கி விவாதித்தனர். மத்திய கூட்டுறவு பதிவாளர் தனது பதில் உரையில்,

" தமிழக அரசின் கூட்டுறவுத் துறை பதிவாளர் அவர்களை தொலைத்தொடர்பு ஊழியர் கூட்டுறவு சொஸைட்டி விவகாரங்கள் குறித்து விசாரணை மேற்கொள்ள உத்தரவிட்டு உள்ளோம்.அவரது விரிவான அறிக்கையை விரைவில் எதிர்பார்க்கிறோம். அதன் அடிப்படையில் உரிய நடவடிக்கை எடுப்போம்"  என்று விளக்கியுள்ளார்.

மத்திய கூட்டுறவு பதிவாளர் அவர்கள் நேரடியாக சென்னை வந்து பாதிக்கப்பட்ட நபர்களை சந்திக்க வேண்டும் என்று தலைவர்கள் கேட்டுக் கொண்டுள்ளனர். தமிழக கூட்டுறவுத் துறை பதிவாளர் மட்டுமின்றி, ஒரு தனித்த நிறுவனம் ( Institute of Public Auditors of India) மூலமும் விரிவான விசாரணைக்கு  உத்திரவிட்டுள்ளதாக மத்திய பதிவாளர் தெரிவித்தார். பிரச்சனையை டெல்லி வரை எடுத்துச் சென்று தீர்க்க முயலும் மத்திய சங்கத்திற்கும் அதற்கு உந்து சக்தியாக திகழும் மாநில சங்கத்திற்கும் மனமார்ந்த நன்றி.

பாராளுமன்ற உறுப்பினர் திரு. கார்த்திக் சிதம்பரம் அவர்களுக்கு  இன்று (19/2/2025)  எழுதியுள்ள கடித நகலையும் நமது தலைவர்களிடம் வழங்கி உள்ளார் மத்திய அரசின் பதிவாளர்.

The matter was listed as Item 90 today.
Mr.Ghose, Ld Sr Counsel appeared on our behalf.
The matter could not be taken up today due to paucity of time and was adjourned to 28.02.2025.

AIBSNLPWA Delegation Meets DoPT Secretary on Pension Revision inclusion in Terms of Reference to 8th CPC. 
A team led by Com. V. Vara Prasad, General Secretary, along with Com. R. S. N. Murty, Vice President, and Com. J. S. Dahia, Organizing Secretary, met Ms. Rachana Shah, Secretary, Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), at her office in North Block, New Delhi.

During the meeting, we explained the issue of including BSNL pension revision in the Terms of Reference of the 8th Central Pay Commission (CPC). The Secretary gave us a patient hearing and assured us that she would take appropriate action on the matter.
The meeting lasted for about 20 minutes, and we expressed our gratitude to her for giving us the opportunity to present our case before the finalization of the Terms of Reference.

The Appeal Petition filed by us before High Court of Kerala requesting pension at 50% of Last Pay Drawn for BSNL staff retired before 01.01.2006,  was taken up today by the HC. Our lawyer argued. Government Lawyer was 'not ready to  argue' today. So the Case is adjourned to next Friday for their argument.
